I like the angle on this one Pete.
Over here, we traditionally take our decs down on Twelfth Night - 6th January.

This is a cool shot. Nice perspective and the vapor trail adds.

Nice photo. It really tells the story, doesn't it?

I always take down the decorations on Jan 1 too. Now comes the long dark days of winter. :( Nice candid of a sad event.

Or leave them up and have Easter Bunny lights :) (This is why the other was an outtake :))

I like how your subject is being photograph. very neat, and the jet stream really adds to the picture. I should take our lights down, so I'm telling my grandchildren that we'er observing the 12 days of Christmas, or would you just call me a procrastinator

I'm waiting on the grandchildren...they put it up, they can pull it down ;>) The contrail is a bonus to this shot.

We did the same today.
Let's hope the spirit of the season lasts well beyond the dousing of the lights.
