Now, that was the OLD Broxton High School -- I attended the one that, for the most part in appearance, can be seen today in the form of the elementary school. Broxton High always had good basketball teams, too. Coach Bill Whiddon carried his 1990 Broxton Buccaneer girls to the State Championship. Other teams at Broxton were good too. It was good they won the 1990 State Championship. After that year the school was consolidated into a larger county high school.
