The Cathedral

Zamosc, Poland

The Lord Resurrection and Saint Thomas Collegiate Church (the Cathedral since 1992), is one of the most magnificent temples in the end of the 16th and begin the 17th century in the Polish architecture.
The large, basilican church with exceptional at that time forms, refers to the Italian temple plans. It was erected in a raw state already before the end of the 16th century.
In the years of 1990's the fine front, destroyed by the tsar authorities, was reconstructed. Most of the changes introduced over the centuries, influenced usually the external appearance.
