Dec 19: Lone sheep

Lone sheep, lone cloud, high up on Caradon hill. The poor thing was startled by our approach. It's pals had already trotted off down the track, but this poor sheep was trapped behind a barbed wire fence. We watched from a safe distance while it took a few attempts to get back the right side of the wire. The technique seems to be to hurl ones wooly self at the fence until you find a gap, but maybe there's more to it than that... anyway, that gave me just enough time to get the camera set up...

Nice, I like the silhouette foreground and ram.

Like the photo!

No more too it David, you are right, hurl themselves at the fence until they find a hole or momentum makes a hole. Also confuses the hell out of them how they can stick their head through a hole but the body won't follow LOL!! Merry Christmas..

Very well done. I like the colours and the mood you captured.

far too easy to follow his mates through the hole, sheep can be peculiar! Perfect exposure!

A sheep's main aim in life is to commit suicide anyway! LOL

At least they are not lambing at this time of the year - dogs are definitely unwelcome then!

Please note - startled - NOT worried! No sheep were harmed in the making of this picture or by our dogs.
