2+2 hmmm, it seems to be a spreading theme around here. Excellent shot Kal. I adore the focus here and how it is not really on the two men and their two baskets each. It is as if the door is their own gateway. Well done.

I could name a few more pairs: two doors, two windows above the doors, two times the wires in V-shape above the men's heads, two times two hands in two pockets. Have we got them all now? It's a wonderful capture Kal.

Great capture. I like the symentry which is enhanced by using b&w (no distracting colors). Phil shows how studying a photo helps bring out yet another level of meaning. Very nice!

As Lucie mentions, this image is about pairs. But she does not mention the most important pairing. The simple life of these individual vendors contrasted to the permanent institution that looms behind them.
