This sculpture is a multiple-figure monument at the grave site of 17-year old,
Brittiney Wish Bevin, a girl in my community who died tragically in 2003.
Tom White has done a magnigicent work representing the
biblical story of Jesus of Nazareth saying, "Let the children come to me."
The monument includes a mother with a child on her back and another at her hand,
and two other children running towards the central figure whom has his arms open wide.
I've photographed this sculpture before but today the
sky was so gorgeous behind the leafless trees, I couldn't resist another view.
The bare trees, blue sky, and white clouds in this one seem to
instill breath to the central figure.
Is it my imagination, or does the sculpture look lighter in this view?
