Today's photo was taken looking west southwest over the Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge. I took the photo near the levee and flood gate over the tracks. This flood gate is one that is only seven to eight feet high over the tracks, and the mud levee is fourteen feet high. You can see why water got into the refuge. The refuge look dead from all the salt water.
