The Sigma 100-300 is so close to the Canon 300L, both f4, that the only way I can tell a difference is with 100% crops, and then it's close. I'm going to shoot the same subject with both lenses, tripod and cable release at 300, same f stop. Then I'll print them out at 13X19 on my printer. That should tell the tale for sure. (maybe)
Glad you got some rodeo shots up, we need to support it for the communities sake. Major money maker.

Nice and sharp! Can you really see the difference between the Sigma and the Canon prime? The best long lens I have thus far are lower-cost f/5.6 ones.

Good to see the galleries of somebody else in our area.

Yep, it's the 100-300-EX HSM F4. I would say it's one of the best under $1000 zooms to 300mm made. It's close to my Canon 300L F4 prime. Thanks for the comment.
