The Sinks - Detail

Those of you familiar with the Smoky Mountains might also know of The Sinks, a much favored swimming hole located on the Little River. Yesterday the park was deserted and as I worked in that area for well over an hour, less than ten cars passed along the adjoining road. It is very unusual to have The Sinks to oneself at all.

I really like the texture and colours of the rocks, the detail is excellent too. The sinks look like a great place to photograph.

Nice job, Buz. You're right. I don't have any good shots of the sinks for that reason. Usually run over with people jumping off the rocks or freezing their butts off in the water.

Hi Buz, very nice image, I like the many colored rocks and your exposure is right on...Note: Brad K mentioned the use of a polarizer, which is OK, in conjunction with the polarizer I often stack a warming filter ( 81a/81b ) to warm up the colors in a scene...the only difference between the a and b is their intencity, I prefer the a, less intense and more life like...

VERY NICE, BY "WORK" YOU MEAN YOU WERE TAKING PICS, RIGHT? Do you ever use a polarizer for shots like this? If not give it a try, works wonders!
