Maybe you should have titled this one "Wishing for Warmth" ;-) Brrrr.... I get cold just looking at it.

Great juxtaposition of the message with the image, Pareitalpenguin....our hero looks freezing..is he about to tumble face down on the snow? Fremiet

Very cute card - I love the composition and the placement and font of the text!

Charming image and sentiment. I like the way the penguin is a bit hunched over, trying to stay warm in the snow. Helen

Karen, the image is precious already as it is. Try to brighten it in PS... there may be some hidden details there. We gotta to remember to overexpose when shooting bright scenes (e.g. snow, beach, white paper, light source from behind, etc.). The beauty of having digital cameras is you can pre-shoot, review the exposure and do the necessary adjustments. Cheers!

Thanks for the comments and advice. I do see the border problem now and can fix that, but am not sure if I can fix the penguin itself. I need to read up more on snow photography or improve my photo editing abilities! Karen

Karen, this makes a very cute subject and greeting. I especially like how you arranged your warm wishes over the lone, shivering, penguin. The simple, snowy background works very well too. Overall, I really like the blue hue and text...I think it adds a lot to the feeling of coldness here . (*) You might try just removing any blue hue from the penguin itself if possible. I agree with Sonny...if you could enhance detail in the face/eyes of this little guy, it would add even more to your wonderful photo. Is it at all possible for you to take another photo of the penguin, exposing for the best head detail, then swap out the heads(bodies?) ? :) I really like it a lot "as is"if you can't do that or don't really want to. Nicely done, Karen...a wonderful holiday greeting. MFC

This is an adorable photo, parietalpenguin! It seems like it's cold and trying to get warm. The greeting "Warmest Wishes" fits well with the image. The blue cast of the photos enforces the coldness of the place; however, it may be a bit much. I would lessen the blueness a tad. I'd also want to see some facial features. Maybe increasing the brightness of the bird will bring out some facial pictures. I'd also try to even out the border a bit. Despite all this small adjustments I think the card is cute, adorable and would surely warm the hearts of the recipients. Well done!
