Pink mountain

At about 5pm two evenings ago, the setting sun hit the
frost encrusted trees on the mountains to the north.

Observing this from our kitchen window, I made a mad dash
in the car, down the winding, narrow, snow covered Stave Lake Road to the
first area I could pull over, set up my tripod and took this shot.

I wish I'd been a couple of minutes earlier.

Cliff, it is beautiful. Wonderful photograph. Well composed with gentle hues that seem such a contrast against these rugged, ancient and formidable mountains.

That sunset reflecting on the snow covered mountains is just breath taking. I can't imagine it being better than this. Be careful rushing to get those shots.
