At about 5pm two evenings ago, the setting sun hit the
frost encrusted trees on the mountains to the north.
Observing this from our kitchen window, I made a mad dash
in the car, down the winding, narrow, snow covered Stave Lake Road to the
first area I could pull over, set up my tripod and took this shot.
I wish I'd been a couple of minutes earlier.
