Glass wine was placed in front of a black shoe box. A slave flash unit was placed behind the shoe box facing a white wall. The light was split in half by the shoe box. The on-camera flash that was pointed backwards (to avoid reflecting onto the glass) triggered the slave.

Michael, Techno and thefly, thank you very much for the comments. Techno, I really do appreciate your suggestion that I may have to redo the frame as soon as I get the chance. I took the photo late last night and didn't pay much attention to the frame. I agree with your observation. Thanks again, guys! Sonny
awesome!! Great job Sonny. A really elegant photo which is wonderfully lit. I see no * in the title but have to mention the frame. It would look classy if the white section of the frame was black. The white border also distracts the eye because most of the photo is darker in tone. You could also go for thinner red line for the border as well.
