Buddy the Canyon Dog

February 28 2010---Buddy came into our lives in December of 03 when we picked him out as the runt of a litter of Miniature Australian Shepard/Border Collie's from a rancher. While we had owned dogs all of our lives, Buddy came to be the smartest, yet sometimes the dumbest, most lovable, stubborn, dog we had ever known. Due to his rambunctious nature as a puppy, I started taking him for a daily ride/hike to Spearfish Canyon or the surrounding Black Hills...Pretty soon we started taking the camera...shortly after, in Oct. of 04, we joined PBase and started posting pics of our excursions...Over 5 years later, we've had almost 3 million hits and over 5000 comments from people all over the world...Buddy has become very sick with a degenerative kidney disease and will be put to sleep tommorrow, March 1. Buddy had a great life, was my best friend, and will be missed oh so much.
