Gwamegi is a fermented and dried saury made by freezing it in cold winter winds, and melting it at daytime for fifteen days, a special product of Pohang city. Gwamegis are effective in blood vessel expansion due to high unsaturated fat, and is excellent in inhibitive action of blood platelet condensation, prevention of geriatric diseases, and women's skin. The delicious taste of Gwamegis originates from cold and dry ocean wind of Pohang area and hence is unique.
