Eagle eye

He was cooperative enough to sit there for a few seconds
giving me a chance to test my relatively new 70-300.

Nikon D70 ,
1/1250s f/5.6 at 300.0mm full exif

Great shot. You are lucky he spread his (her) wings for you, and they you picked up the detail wonderful. The head almost looks like a painting.
