The wind is still blowing, not nearly as hard as yesterday, but still breezy. My bike ride to work this morning was faster than normal and the return trip this evening a tad bit more effort required, due to the wind. You can almost see the wind in this image as the yellow maple leaves blur as they strain against it, and the red Japanese Maple had most all of it's leaves shaken loose. It appears as if the few remaining leaves are holding on, rejecting that final nudge to the ground, that takes them, eventualy, under the rake and into the city mulcher. This beautiful red carpet of leaves will end up on the city dump. What a cycle.
