I think the crop is absolutely "perfect" Kal...
the scene is literally cut in half by the background
one with the woman (her lower half) in the ad, holding... extra shoes!
and the living, moving... subjects with shoes/feet left unseen,
makes for a huge visual, as you say...incongruity.
Showing all the feet would have been far less effective...redundant
Well done!

I love this- what a great juxtaposition

I know the feeling. I have done the same thing -- you only get one chance sometimes, and it is hard to get
everything where you want it when you have only an instant to react. I am sure that if we could see Henri Cartier Bresson's contact sheets, we would see lots of similar problems. It comes with the territory.

Honest answer Phil, wrong zoom setting and only a fraction of a second to react..it annoyed me too!

This one is funny!

The idea is sound -- scale and subject incongruity. But why did you crop into the legs of the people, when the image itself is all about legs and body language?

I see fashion "victims" here... The movements of the two persons follow the one of the publicity as a one, great metaphor of conformism....
You "ponged" me...
;-)
