The photoshop stuff was to crop and to change levels on a layer to try and extract some detail on the right side otherwise I was just lucky with the light.

Graham I tried using Shadow/Highlight at 30% on Shadow, 0% Highlight, both with Radius down to 0px. It brings out a lot more detail on the right-hand side but it changes the colour balance a bit. I've voted for the image as it stands but I think you can make it even better ... Gerry
