England Expects....

Friday 21st October 2005 - Day 307

Trafalgar Day

...everyman to do his duty...

or.... everyman woman and child to tromp to the top of a hill to watch a beacon being lit in a 'strong breeze'!

200 years ago today, we - the British (I could never understand the England expects bit...) made sure we owned the worlds oceans for the next 110 years, and that Napoleon didn't manage to invade, by a decisive naval victory off a god-foresaken Spanish coast. I've been there - trust me, it is!

Splice the mainbrace!!!

Excellent pano,Lee. The exposure's great too. Looks cold from the way the fire is blowing to the left but it sure is warming everyone up.

We also climbed a hill to see the beacon lit, and then had to find our way back down the hill by the light of the LCD on the 'new' P&S....
