#2 Second Screen shot "The Move" - This shows you how to activate the Move tool / How to drag the sky from the layers pallet (small picture and activated) over the bird picture. Hold left mouse button down till over bird picture and drop it. Now notice your layers pallet has two layers - the top one is the sky and you can see it is covering the bird picture (the second layer in the pallet). Also notice that a copy of your sky is now covering the bird on screen and that the bird picture pallet is now activated (highlighted blue), but in your pallet the bird layer is not the active layer. The "sky layer" covering the bird is the active layer. See Screen shot #3.
