My wife uses the S1 IS as she likes P&S for the portability and simplicity. It was an upgrade from the her old A80. Both use CF cards which was the deciding factor. The new S2 IS wasn't out that time and as it turned it uses the SD card which would be a problem for us.

I have a little Sony DSC-S40 which was given to me as the prize from the Renaissance Festival photo contest. It is nice little camera and very portable. When connected to a computer it becomes a USB 2.0 High-Speed drive. So downloading photos is very simple. I wish my Canon DSLRs can be that way.

Hi, Nelson.
I used my brother's S2 and really liked it, although of course not as much as my 20D. I have a few P&S cameras but I do seem to grab that S2 if I can get my hands on it. That IS and long zoom make it hard to ignore. Still, the 20D is my 'baby', and I still won't let my 10D go either. Go figure. As for tiny cameras, I have the Canon IXUS 500, and that little gem takes incredible photos. 3X zoom turns me off some, but boy, if you want something you can keep in your pocket for quick snaps, it's awesome, too. Ah! Digital. I just love it.
