Thanks. The conditions were warm and humid. The remnants of hurricane Katrina were passing. While it wasn't raining, it was warm and humid and clouds were blowing by quickly. I drove about 20 mins from the beach house I was staying at down to the lighthouse with the A/C on in the car and the A1 on the front seat (important facts). When I got there, I set up for long exposure on tripod because I wanted to catch the clouds being blown past the lighthouse. What I didn't know at that moment, was that the lens completely fogged over from condensation when I got out of the car into the humid air.
That's the secret of how to achieve this affect. Take a chilled camera out into warm humid air. LOL
