Montz, Louisiana

I was rushing through bumper to bumper traffic trying to get here when the sky was all pink, but was about 8 minutes too late. However, Breland captured it beautifully in his shot in Manchac, Louisiana at http://www.pbase.com/bre/image/50438365.

It's still a lovely sky. It's so peaceful with the water smooth as glass and the lights just coming on. So different from the bumper to bumper stressfulness on the way here.

I saw Breland's. I like this one as well. It's fascinating the way sunsets change so rapidly. But the steel gray sky with the orange horizon counterpoint is nice too. This is more soothing than dramatic with the reflection on the water but it signifies the closure of the day and the transition into the restfulness of night.
