Well, Wally and I head South at about 9:00 a.m., and after the traditional pitstop at Rotten Ronnie's, we're at McKinnon's Flats at about 11:30. Trouble develops immediately when it becomes apparent that the Merc outboard is not working well at all. It starts, but seems to be mushy as hell, and will barely go upstream. We only get up a quarter mile or so. After some on-river diagnostics by Wally, it is apparent that we're not going to be doing any boating under power today.
