Roman bridge, Stanhope

The current bridge is definitely not Roman, but there may have been a bridge on this site as long ago as the time of the Roman occupation. Nothing to do today and all day to do it in, so I've used the time well and done absolutely sod all.

Good for you John...!! I vote for more days of nothingness, when you can go find wonderful things like ancient roman bridges to show us out in the colonies what we never had..!! Love it.
