I took the Merc on its first shopping trip this lunchtime (lucky thing...).
It was a miserable, misty, murky, moist and musty sort of a day -- but good to be back under my own steam again!

This is the gasometer next to Waitrose: summing up the weather-mood pretty well, I think...
-- those aren't shadows, by the way: but reflections of the struts on the rain-covered, rusty metal.....

(There don't seem to be as many of these around as there used to be, when I was a kid....
I wonder where all the gas is stored, now...?)
