September 30: SP Friday ( a la Audra)

Rancho Bernardo, CA

I was so pleased with my experimentation in using high contrast/sharpness black and white settings directly inside my camera ***of Audra on the 28th*** that I decided a ‘straight’ forward (you get only one of me this week folks) SP a la that style would suffice for today.

The settings in the 20D were B&W, +2 on contrast, +2 on sharpness, and green filter.

And below is an alternate version while setting up.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I like the alternate shot better. the top shot looks uncoordinated, for want of a better word.

I'd like to ask Ken to "fix" MY wrinkles . . permanently!!!

Great shot, Robin. I have to laugh at the bottom one. It looks like you are telling yourself what to do next! I'm proud of my wrinkles, too.

This is a great shot. Excellent tones as well.

@Ken... I like my wrinkles! I worked hard to get them. ;-)
Guest 01-Oct-2005 00:44
Nice SP, Robin. You'll have to splain it to me when you get here.

Wonderful sp!

Don't take this the wrong way but I have a real easy way in PhotoShop to ease those wrinkles under your eyes. I know they are "knowledge lines", as only us over 50 seem to get them.
I'm going to copy this image, fix it, and e-mail you my results!

I really enjoy your work and humor and view on life!!!!!!!!

Robin, these SPs make me think of the visages of geniuses. You're becoming a genius with the camera, and with Photoshop.

Excellent!

Great results Robin! And great SP! Now I have to go try to learn something else about this digital camera!! ;-) Though I don't have the 20D!

Nice SP Robin and an interesting method for mono.

Why is it that Audra can shoot with one hand and you need two? Must be 20d thing, eh? :)

Zak30-Sep-2005 17:59
nice SP!
Northy taught me the 'bumping up the red' trick :-)
Guest 30-Sep-2005 17:19
hehe!!
great image!! you managed it again! (AND.....ROTFL.......you even have the sunglasses on your head! you crack me up!)
Since I don't have the 20d, I need to figure out what to do in PS to get the "look"
I think I will try bumping up the red and the contrast before converting to b+w?!?!
Think it will work?

XO, Audra
