Turkey Vulture

This is a shot from yesterday. Turkey Vultures are a very common bird on Hawk Hill and the American River. The reason I posted this shot is that you never get to see the upper wing of a soaring Turkey Vulture. Being on Hawk Hill gives one the unique opportunity to see the upper wing of soaring birds.

When I was in America I saw Turkey Vultures by the roads many times and I alwasy thought they were sooo ugly. But seeing this one from this angle makes me think it´s actually beautiful. Thanks for sharing, it is a nice shot!
