A lot is happening in this photo! The classic checkerboard krama scarves are arranged on the lower left (held in place by that ubiquitous pink plastic string). Color and design then gets simpler as you go up. And at bottom center is that focus of complexity, a sleeping baby. There may be in the medical literature--if memory serves me right--research showing that that babies swung in hammocks not only get to sleep more readily, but also get better blood flow in the brain, which in turn may aid development of the growing child.
