I interviewed Tiffiny today, a local tattoo artist. Knocking on the door of her home, I was greeted by Ripple - a fiercely barking pug who did a fine job of guarding the house. He followed me as I walked to the end of her porch, jumping onto the back of the couch to make sure he kept me in sight every second. He stared so intently, I took advantage of his motionlessness to take a shot through the window.
"Do you mind dogs?" she asked. Thinking of my two - 75 and 90 pounds worth of dogs - I said no, I was used to them. She opened the door and Ripple apparently decided I was a scent-fest and a damn fine one at that. If you've never had a pug nuzzle your neck, snuffling in your ear, you don't know what you're missing.
