23rd September 2005

New wide angle lens testing...my road.

This is the Canon 10-22mm, and
it beats the Sigma 10-20mm I also looked at.
(Loads of flare/ghosting and it didn't want to shoot
this low light scene on AF at all)

But I'm still not sure....

Saving in jpeg format really seems to reduce
image quality. That said, I'm not sure what
my other options would be for wide angle with
a 20D. :((

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Quite a common shot but you added that *some thing*to it.
Great

I think this is great, and I love the effects of the long exposure. Now, I must have a good imagination, because the shadow of the leaves in the middle of the road looks almost like a face to me.

I hope you'll post a gallery with some ultra-wide images. Widest I have on my Pentax is 16mm (digital) so at 24mm real-world, not terribly wide at all.

Hard to imagine a lens doing a better job than this. A very nice shot.

This is a nice long exposure. I wish I could advise you on choice of lens, but I own a Nikon, and the widest angle I have is the 18-70mm, which isn't really that wide at all (equiv. 27-105mm)
