A few of the red eyes have stared back at me here in Rayong. Cool but clumsy birds!

Finally was able to see this rascal in person. Living in the Ban Khu Sakham area of Sakhon Nakhon Province and I am sure this is the bird with the 'whooop whooop ' call. Finally saw it in the brush close to rice fields

I live in Phan, Chiang Rai and have several of these around our house. They make the strangest of sounds and a joy to watch. Along with the Common Myna birds witch are hilarious.
