I also prefer this one, mainly on the compo side. Great detail capturing with a sense of mystery (what lies behind ?). The worn texture is a greqt bonus. Alain

I also prefer this one. It's got great circular framing and really grabs your eye. It also has some intrigue - what is the out-of-focus object in the centre? Very nice indeed. Mike.

I have the same comments as for your other entry "Very striking photo with terrific initial impact. Great detail and lines. I like the DOF you chose and the fact that the foreground is uniformly sharp. The subtle color works well - I don't think this would be nearly as effective in BW." I like the lines and the lock on the first post, but I'll throw in with Jeffry and say that I prefer this one. Comp is better and the flowing lines are more aesthetically pleasing. Thanks for posting both - I was quite taken with #1 until I saw this one. Bob

I think this one works better. It still has an air of mystery to it, but the light in the background is now more of the focus (even though out of focus) and less of a distraction. You want to get to it, find out more about it, but because of the gate, you cannot get there. Is it the metaphorical light at the end of the tunnel? It is an interesting gate you found! JeffryZ
