Giant Sequoias of Mariposa Grove

Last day in the park and we went on a hike to see the Giant Sequoias of Mariposa Grove.
These giant trees average 3000 years in age.

Went to the top of the ridge to the less traveled Wawona Pont. Great views of Wawona Valley
and Wawona Dome.

Great shot. The problem with shooting these giants is that there is nothing nearby that would indicate their great mass. Truly an amazing grove, cathedral like. Well done.
