Photo a Day, Day 161...Today was officially the first day of Photoshop World (Yesterday was the pre-conferrence)... The day started out with the Keynote with Deke McClelland and Russell Brown duking it out with Photoshop tips and tricks. After the Keynote I attended Katrin Eismann's Advanced Digital Darkroom which was very interesting with tips on adding traditional darkroom effects to photos using photoshop. She had a very different means of sharpening images using the high pass filter as well as some cool tips on dodging and burning... next I went to Ben Willmore's Mastering Smart Object which there are LOTS of them in this image.. Checked my profile early this morning before heading out and followed the unanimous suggestion to take the Canon and I'm definitely glad I did!

Other highlights of the day were on the expo floor. I got to spend about 15min playing on a 21.3" Cintiq WOW!!!!!! and then was interviewed by the NAPP crew basically on what I had done on the Cintiq and what I thought of Photoshop World so far... NEXT I went to the Canon booth and got to check out the new 24-105 f/4 IS L!!! Another WOW!! The Canon rep said it was the sharpest Canon lens he has used. He also mentioned it will be available for just under the MSRP of the 24-60 f/2.8 L at around $1300... They also had the 5D out but didn't get a chance to take a close look.
