I happened to glance out of my study window to see a bright orange sky complete with the ghostly outlines of trees, caused by the sodium light from the streetlamps reflecting off of the haar that had rolled in from the north sea. It really looked as if the sky was on fire, so I had to get into the garden with the tripod to take some long exposures. I think this one turned out rather well.

We had some lovely light last year too
