I already love the camera. It is marvelous and handles so well. I tried the D70 when I demo'd the 7D. I thought they were about the same. The D70 does not handle nearly as well as the 7D. This camera is a pleasure to use, much like the 7 I already have.

It is bigger...not sure if it is heavier. Have to wait for the VC-7D to compare the two since the grip is always on my 7. Luke

Luke, you are too kind. No, you need to keep it with you but I appreciate the offer. Is it significantly bigger and heavier than a Max 7? Christy

It is lovely Luke. I wish I could hold the 7D before ordering. I am afraid that it might be too big and heavy. My Max 7 is perfect for size and weight. I am still uncertain. 5D or 7D. I know that the 7D is a better camera for the money. Christy

I forgot to mention it is I, Luke, with new 7D. This was my first 7D sunset photo. I took this ten minutes after opening the box, Christy. Minimal learning curve from the 7 to the 7D. I already had a battery charged from the A2. Popped it in and headed straight to the lake for the sunset I saw coming on my way home from work. Isn't it lovely?
