To all P-Base friends: Coleen was able to telephone me Sunday afternoon, 4 September. She asked me to tell you that she and her family are OK, but have about a foot of water in their home in Metairie (west suburb of New Orleans). Please pass this message along.

It's nice how you retained so much detail in the shadow without overexposing everything else. Good thing you had such a clean windshield! An excellent street shot.

Great shot. The sky looks like a hurricane's coming.

How did you shoot this, did you get out of the car. Love the light and that cloud

So that's the famous Canal Street. New Orleans is top of my list of places to see before I die.

I do, the only differance is ours has the dome. However your Sheraton is nearby, while ours is elsewhere in the city. You may like to see more at this gallery I started, which are of a few drive by shots in our city of Brisbane....again I stress I was not the driver :>) <http://www.pbase.com/laine82/city_sights
