I'm not too happy about this shot, or any of the shots I took today. It was very bright out and all my shots came out underexposed. I had metering mode set to partial which probably caused this. Learned an important lesson today.

I noticed the photos were previewing dark but figured it was due to my eyes not adjusting.

I just set the metering mode back to Evaluative. . .

Glen, did I tell you I don't use a light meter? Because of my manual focus AIS Nikkor lenses not being fully compatible with the D70. They do not meter. Put your camera on manual both ways, and try and judge the exposure by sensing the ambient light. It's fun.
