Beautiful, artistic rendition of the sword, Irish. I really like the lighting, mood, and diagonal composition here...nice contrast, clear detail, and effective use of selective coloring. I especially like all the textural detail of the sword itself...and that intriguing sense of motion here. Where's the sword flying to or from... in this setting of a cloudy sky? Is Arthur or Merlin nearby? Artistic, creative, and well done. MFC

Beautiful detail on the hilt and blade of your sword, irish_eye. Somehow, I feel that this image is*very* symbolic. Hope the change is for the better.
And now a confession - when I first glanced at this as a thumb, I thought it was wooden clothspins that kids used to put together to throw through the air like planes. Obviously, been thinking too much about "things that fly"!
