I actually was taking pictures of some wonderfull butterflies when I spotted this little guy doing his job - he actually goes in and sucks the nectar out from the base of the flower.

I love the detail of the fuzz on the bee's back, and the colors are very nice.

An excellent macro. Nice sharp image, but I'm not sure which texture you intened the viewer to notice, or whether your intent was to juxtapose competing textures. In any event, I like the photo. Great capture.

Chris, well captured and plenty of textures going on here. However, I'm finding that there's no real focal point or dominant texture(s) against the theme, but it's more an image that just happens to have textures in its elements. However, I like the image as an image with a good subject, colours, DOF and bokeh. Thanks for the caption information too. I enjoy knowing more about the background. John
