Smoke Study I*
by mlynn

I don't like incense, I REALLY don't.
So I coughed and gagged my way thru these.
Just wanted you to know there was some sacrifice involved :).
I really need to find a good background to use, I'm always struggling with that.

Thank you all for your comments. And Mike, thank you for the excellent idea. I'll have to try that, maybe you'll see some version of this again in a later challenge :). --Melanie

Melanie, nice catch of light on this gentle, irregular flow of smoke...it makes a lovely, artistic impression. Soothing and moody too set against the black background. Glad I can't smell it...like you, I remember the gagging when I tried this in my garage once :) (*) One idea for you to try might be to include a Native American theme somehow with the rising smoke...a title to work with could be "Smoke Signals". I remember you've used Native American motifs before; so it might be something you would be interested in trying sometime. Good idea here...nice capture. MFC

Melanie, the beautiful curves are really intriguing, and the hints of color are wonderful addition to the image. I like your imaginative take on the theme. Bev
