Today’s image is of the lovely Kasy, (the outtake shows her stunning long thick and rich hair without the wig) and from here the wig will be shipped to, … well, … wait and see. It’s been to Nevada where it started, San Francisco, Switzerland, Los Angeles, Toronto, several places in England, Scotland, Michigan, Utah and now Florida.

The “Purple World Wide Wig” started it’s life in 2003 at the Burningman art and music festival. “Trying to explain what Burning Man is to someone who has never been to the event is a bit like trying to explain what a particular color looks like to someone who is blind.”– http://www.burningman.com/ Each year, participants from around the world travel to a dusty windswept desert playa on the outskirts of Gerlach, Nevada to build and reside in a counter-culture community of radical self-expression and art otherwise known as “Black Rock City”.

It’s only fitting that the wig started its crazy photographic journey at the Burningman event. The founder of the wig’s travels is PBase’s own “Wacky Genius, … er, … Jeannius” Jeanne, and this link http://www.pbase.com/jeannius/wig will show you a tiny record of the many wonderful and creative folks that has used the wig to share the images with you, … and me, … and all of us.
