This one is for Gary Winters...no apology needed :>)
Stopped at the traffic lights in a southern N.S.W town & looking in the direction of the alpine region....Australia's ski fields. The sky looked threatening but the last of the suns rays turned the trees to rust.
Carmens comment on the petrol/gas prices prompts me to add ours is currently around $1.17 a litre & there's 3.78 of those to every gallon...
On the other side of town

I love this sky!

Heck that sky IS ominous looking - must have been snow heading for the
alps. I loved how the NSW roads had those frequent passing lanes, wish
SA would hurry up and make more of them too. Love the lighting, its quite spooky.

nice colour in the sky and light laine.

Excellent views of your time on the road in threatening weather.

Perhaps I should post a picture of the Outback Restaurant in San Diego? LOL

Nice light, sky. Those gas prices just aren't fair, no wonder you have so many pictures from the road.
:-)

yes gas is relatively (worldwide) cheap in the USA but we are used to $0.99/ gallon and large trucks that get only 12-14 mpg, not to mention the sprawl that is vehicle dependant and the typical 25+ mile average commute to work, and few mass transit options. The sudden jump in prices really hurts.

Awesome light and lack thereof. And you can see the cloud cover rolling low right near the top of that phone pole. I think my favorite part is how father and child have taken interest in you at lower left.

Subway is on every sign!!

Strange light a mixture of setting sun and heavy cloud, quite striking.

Beautiful colours, Laine

Lovely sky, but...would you look at those gas prices!! We just hit 3 dollars a gallon here (I know, I know, to anyone in Europe we're big crybabies but still - it takes some getting used to).

I make that 50 pence per litre..... I'm moving!

Lovely light from those storm clouds
