Veronica, what a lovely place to live. I lived in three different houses during my three years in the USA and two had woods behind them, which I really enjoyed being able to look out onto. That was great for wildlife too, but that was well before digicam days and I didn't take advantage of the photo opportunities. John
Veronica, I really like the atmosphere of this shot. I like how the mist on the upper left is balanced by the bright sun spot in the lower right. The mist lifting and the sun coming could also be seen as a kind of repetition of day and night aside from the obvious repetition of trees. You are lucky to have such a nice view from your house.
Thanks Bob & John. This is the view from our new house in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. It had rained the night before & the mist was just rising to greet the sun. The same scene can look different at any time of the day, which is what I find so fasinating (tho' others might find it boring!). The red thingie is a property marker which may have been left from when the land was excavated. I didn't even notice it Bob, so might have cloned it out if I did.

Creates a nice mood - makes you feel serene. I like the transitions in lighting and sharpness from left to right and background to foreground. Is that a red leaf (middle, bottom)? It's one of those elements that you don't notice at first glance, but once you've seen it, you can't avoid noticing. I'm not sure if it would be better if it were removed or softened.

Veronica, I like the atmosphere of this one, which looks inviting as a place to hike. The trees provide some good variation for the repetition.
