Another great image. Simple but very effective

At first I was captured by the simplicity of the cupped spoons with that brown definition line running through them at the top. It took me a moment to realize they were golf clubs (mine never looked that clean when I used to play). Brilliant interpretation of the theme. Excellent use of ordinary objects in an extraordinary way.

I hadn't noticed how the sharp focus in the lower right continued the flow of the cupped "spoons". I also hadn't realized I could save file size by neat imaging noise from the picture. Such comments are really helpful to newbies like me. Thanks so much to all.

Aha, limitations in fine control of some versions of SW.
Good title Alain. John

Thanks for the comments guys. As you can see, I changed the title, MCsaba.
John, I did use NeatImage, but since I still use the trial version, have no control on the compression.

Nicely done Alain. I agree with the other comments.
On the technical front, I find the JPEG artifacts at top and right to be a bit distracting. Without compressing less and ending up with file size problems, I've overcome this issue in the past with images that don't have detailed textures by nuking them with NeatImage. That removes some of the noise/detail so that there's little noise to be encoded as JPEG noise.

Good shot Alan, I can't suggest any improvement. But the very plain title "Spoons" degrades the picture. A better one would make it more interesting. MCsaba

Terrific shot Alain.
Nice curves. The composition works very well, as does the shallow DOF. I also like the way you have the lower right in sharp focus.
