Thanks for the comment David. One of the things that struck me at Castlerigg was how you could see the forms of the hills echoed in the forms of the stones. In this image, the shape of the large stone to the right of center is similar to that of the hillside behind, seen from this angle. In another case, the top of a single stone had a hollow in it similar to the shape of a valley in the hill behind. Was this the intent of the builders of Castlerigg, or is this just an example of how the mind looks for patterns and finds them everywhere.
