Btw do you use a teleconverter or something? and is it possible or recommended to use a teleconverter on a macro lens? Hope you respond.. thnx anyway

I'm Tom and i'm wondering how do you take these pics? I'm totally new at macrophotografy with dslr's (just got my D70 a little less then a month) I came to this site via Dpreview, I read you used the Tamron 90mm does this mean that you have to come closer to your subject then 90mm or that you can get closer? I want to buy a macro lens and this one seems to do the job very well( of course i'll also have to practice to get the talent you certainly have). And is this a crop? Beautifull pics..
