Repeat All - JDU

my house in the suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia

In addition to the obvious 3s, you can see that there are at least 3 tracks being repeated on the CD in my personal CD player.
The repetition effects are as shot and were not created during post-processing. ;^)
The image is not colourised. The player is silver with a green LCD background. What you see is the effect of severely clipping both ends of the brightness spectrum during processing on the auto WB image out of my camera.

I like this one, John. Nicely composed and postprocessed. Very good!

Cheers!

Clever interpretation -- brettania

Thanks Dennis. It wouldn't be so interesting for me if I didn't come up with ideas a bit further removed from the norm from time to time that might require the viewer to look and think to get the most out of the image in addition to any initial impact. I was pleased to come up with this idea of having two different types of repetition happening here, the more obvious repeated digits, even if they're not so interesting in themselves, backed up by the repeated music tracks. Hopefully the image as a whole is appealing for some people to look at, even if they might like some other images better. John

I like that you are continually pressing the boundaries. This is a clever interpretation of the repitition theme, and clipping the ends of the brightness spectrum resulted in an unusual surface texture. On the other hand, if I hadn't been aware of the repetition theme, I'm not sure the photograph would have connected with me in the same way as the droplets and the umbrella shot. Your experiments are inspiring, JDU. It's always fun to see what you'll come up with next.

Again exploring the far ends of a theme, John ? Nice grainy effect and bold crop.
