Dave, this one was on a holiday, no hurrying, no waiting, no cares, no worries. As long as we got home to base each night before it got dark, no problems. We looked for ferries on the map, for the fun of the crossings.
Waiting like this can be frustrating. However, there is really no cause for bad feelings unless one has made a great effort to hurry to the place at which the waiting occurs. Perhaps my earliest involvement with advanced Psyops training was the old military routine of "hurry up and wait," which I learned immediately upon my entering the U. S. Army. I can reveal this because anything that took place in the 1970s (excepting the exceptions) has been declassified. Were you able to board the ferry upon its arrival (and upon its deck)?
